The main purpose of a VOI analysis is to calculate the distribution of pixel values within delineated tissue structures. There are several VOI definitions available in PMOD which are described below.

Starting with version 4.3 the VOI algorithm was redesign in order to make iso-contouring workable for big data with more than 1300 voxels in each direction.
